She is the author of Estate Planning in Texas and has been repeatedly named a Top Estate Planning Attorney in Fort Worth. She received her business degree from Texas A&M University in 1990, and graduated magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law in 1993, where she served as the Assistant Editor of the Law Review and received the faculty award for outstanding graduate. Leslie Thomas focuses her legal career exclusively in the area of estate planning, and sees clients in the Fort Worth office. She has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career, and is often asked to speak at conferences and seminars regarding important estate planning issues, changes and trends. Ms. Thomas enjoys working with families to devise a strategy specific to their needs and an estate plan best suited to protect their assets for future generations. Ms. Thomas finds that those clients who work to create an effective estate plan are much more at peace in knowing that they have everything in place for their loved ones. When she is not helping families plan their estates, Ms. Thomas enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Katie Manchaca joined Thomas-Walters, PLLC, in 2019 when she contributed to the establishment of the Southlake office. She has practiced estate planning for the majority of her legal career, focusing on complex estate planning issues and designing asset protection trusts specifically for individual needs. Ms. Manchaca’s knowledge of estate planning and probate issues, her creativity and her attention to detail have proven to be great assets to her clients. She enjoys assisting clients construct legally-sound protections for their future and for future generations.
Ms. Manchaca graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas in 2004, and earned her JD from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2007. She was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 2013. She previously worked at a national law firm and a national oil and gas company. Ms. Manchaca is a native Texan and has lived in Fort Worth since 2004. When she is not helping her clients with estate plans, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Kindyle Ledingham is our Area Administrator and Development Coordinator. Kindyle was born in Lubbock, TX and has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1993. Prior to joining Thomas- Walters Estate Planning, Kindyle worked in the funeral and insurance industry for 12 years. She gained knowledge and learned the importance of having an estate plan in place while working at the funeral home. Kindyle has both a real estate and insurance license, giving her a unique perspective when it comes to helping our clients with their estate plans. When she is not working, Kindyle enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Debra Duran is the firm’s Office Manager. She received her Associate of Arts in Teaching from Tarrant County College in 2010, and her Associate of Applied Science in 2016. Debra enjoys greeting each customer and helping them coordinate their appointments with our multiple locations. Debra is also responsible for filing all the warranty and mineral deeds with the appropriate counties. Debra brings many years of experience to the firm from various industries, and she uses her experience to keep our office running smoothly on a daily basis. When Debra is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 3 children and her cats.
