Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Thomas-Walters, PLLC (“the Firm,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use this website and associated websites (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Contacting us through this website — by contact form, newsletter signup, scheduled consultation, or otherwise — does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship with Thomas-Walters, PLLC is formed only when we and you sign a written engagement agreement.

Because no relationship exists until then, information you send us through this website may not be treated as confidential or privileged, and sending it does not prevent us from representing another party in a matter related to yours. Please do not send us detailed, sensitive, or time-sensitive information about your situation until we have confirmed in writing that we can represent you.

We do take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this site, and we do not use the content of your inquiry for advertising purposes.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. Name, email address, phone number, postal address, and any information you choose to include in a contact form, newsletter signup, or consultation request. Consultations are scheduled through Calendly, which collects your name, email, and appointment details under its own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time and duration of visits, and the site or search that referred you. We collect this using cookies, tags, and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager.

How We Use Information

To respond to inquiries and schedule consultations; to provide and improve our services; to send newsletters and updates you’ve asked for; to request reviews; to measure and improve our advertising; and to maintain the security of the Service.

Cookies

We use cookies to operate the site and understand how it is used. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features of the Service.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google may use this data under its own privacy practices. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising and Remarketing

From time to time we run advertising campaigns that use remarketing services from Google and from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), so that people who have visited our site may see our ads elsewhere. These campaigns do not run continuously. While one is active, these providers place cookies or similar identifiers on your device and receive information about your visit, which they may combine with information they already hold and use for their own advertising purposes.

We do not build advertising audiences from visits to pages about specific legal needs — such as Medicaid planning, probate, guardianship, or trust administration — and we do not provide advertising providers with the contents of any inquiry you submit.

You can manage your preferences through Google Ad Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, YourAdChoices (DAA), or the NAI Opt-Out.

Your Privacy Choices

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information where applicable law provides that right.

Do Not Track. The Service does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as no common industry standard exists for them.

Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or contact us using the details below.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Note that information relating to legal representation may be subject to professional confidentiality obligations and retention requirements that limit our ability to delete it.

Service Providers

We use third-party companies to help operate and analyze the Service. They may access personal information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Data Retention

We retain website inquiry and analytics information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and longer where a legal, regulatory, or professional obligation requires it.

Security

We use reasonable procedures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfer

Information we collect may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

Links to Other Sites

The Service contains links to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Compliance With Laws

We may disclose personal information where required by law or where necessary to protect the security and integrity of the Service.

SMS Messages

If you consent to receive SMS from Thomas Walters PLLC, you agree to receive appointment confirmations, follow ups, information requests, and marketing messages, including but not limited to upcoming or past seminars as SMS communications from us.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. When you provide your mobile number and opt in to receive text messages from us, we will only use your number to send the communications you have requested. Your mobile opt-in data and consent will never be shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or by prominent notice on this website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
